Despite my best efforts we happen to have a verbal agreement for our new house on Talbot Hill.
Anybody reading this who negotiates for stuff for a living would have laughed their butts off at how I negotiate. Nothing quite like laying everything on the table and then trusting in the other person to be honest. I would have never survived the 80’s as an adult.
I don’t have any pictures yet of the place, that will have to wait until we have a signed something to work with. We will be listing our place next week.

I had to giggle, you sound like uncle and myself prior to buying our home in Cali……we heard it thru work and etc etc…..uncle worked for the fellow who was selling his home. Beautiful home it was! We were pumped, adrenalin rushing, all looks good,they are excited we are excited, what happened to what we agreed on in several conversations……”but you said that was included”…..oh well…..we had it, we didn’t have it, we had it again……now not sure as he wanted us to pay all the fees, then he relented and decided to pay his fair share…….what a time. By the time we “thought for sure” we had the house we weren’t sure we wanted IT!….Darn house, but it wasn’t the house’s fault but it almost seemed it was. Didn’t it want us? LOL FINALLY it was a DONE deal, only after they knew what type of “dunders/color” we wore every other tuesday…..and promised them our third born child, and so on and so on and so on……..(it seemed that way anyway……they knew more about us than we knew about each other—gawd) All said and done, we got the house, not sure we wanted it by then but we had gone this far and fought so hard, surely this house would love us for fighting so hard to get it! In the end it did, and we also did……..loved it cared for it and left it to the next owner in even better shape than what it was when we got it……..ten good years and we both served each other well. Good luck on your new “adventure”…..as it is indeed one………If it’s meant to be it will BE!!! Oh yes, and BTW………give us notice of the housewarming…….*giggle* Hugs
