Of Potters and Pots

This morning we woke up and wanted to do/make something. LaGrande reminded us of her birthday present last year – a pottery wheel (such as it is).

So she put in the batteries (yes [sigh] it runs on batteries) kneaded the clay and she/we “threw” a few pot-shaped items.

We all got very dirty and scratched a little bit of that “make stuff”-itch.
Later we all painted fish – for a certain, imminent birthday party. (no pics)

The Potter - not Harry.

The Potts - not Mrs.

  1. I thought that only little boys liked to get “down and dirty”! I guess some girls like to play in the mud as well, huh!?

Are you going to “fire” all of these art pieces? I wonder if a self-cleaning oven gets hot enough? [I know it does if it has a defect and doesn’t keep its temperature from running away!!]
