Last night, at the Renton city council meeting, TheWeeOne, myself, and BopOp happily accepted the 2012 People’s Choice Curvee award as run by The Renton Reporter.
The movie was shown once more in council chambers and got a few chuckles – it appeared to play well with that crowd.
All of you, my faithful readers, who voted and supported can rest assured that a directors cut is forthcoming, whether it is good for the business or not.

I didn’t bike in to the office today.
I did this intentionally, for a variety of reasons, and instead chose the train. I reasoned that the train was the least likely option to suffer setbacks from weather related issues and I wanted to have some measure of certainty in my travel tonight (reasons in another post).

This weather-based logic is known to be faulty on the northbound route where a heavy fog may cause mudslides.

So now I’m sitting on the southbound Sounder commuter train waiting on a 10 minute delay (for speed restrictions) due to heavy rain.

On the way to the train this morning, I was dutifully circumnavigating a monster puddle. Like a submerged crocodile lurking at the waters edge, a manhole-sized, frost-heaving, pothole jumped up and snapped at my wildebeest.
It didn’t pull us under but it did put an unnatural end to the life of this rim.
My, we’ve had an eventful 12 hours.
LaGrande broke her arm late last night at dance – she cried, naturally.
This morning I woke up to TheWeeOne crying – she asked, demanded rather, that TheMommy pull out her loose tooth.
So she did, and then they both agreed it was probably not totally ready.
It didn’t take long for the dimple to come back.
LaGrande broke her left radius doing a somewhat common move, after two hours of warm-up.
Some details.

* Cast for a month.
* Birthday plans altered.
LaGrande went as A Sassy Fairy.
TWO went as A Ghostly Spirit.
After a rough day, LG had a sleep-over and we needed a night out with TWO.
Started with schnitzels and dunkelbräu at The Berliner. Now we’re heading to a movie.
Love life.
No Curvees this year at The Renton Film Frenzy 2012.
But, for their efforts, The Mermaids banked some ice cream.
