Nashville

Southeast view from the top of the Renaissance hotel.

Seen here is the Cumberland river and the Shelby street bridge.
The largest building on the left side is the AT&T regional office, affectionately called The Bat Building.

Greatest state in the land of the free - although there's no mountaintops here - they're all in the eastern section of the state.

The weather is cold and several inches of snow is expected tonight.

Five miles to the southwest my great great grandfather R.R. Banker fought, as a member of The Union army joining General Sherman’s march to the sea, in The Battle at Brentwood.

I am here, in a small capacity, to enhance 9-1-1 architecture in ways that the people in those days couldn’t fathom. Those soldiers then helped maintain the union which now mandates it’s use (9-1-1) for the public good.

Update: in the time it took me to write this it really started to dump snow. Woo hoo!
