Remains of the day

The name of that movie for some reason never had a concrete meaning to me in the past, it was what you called that movie with Emma Thompson.
When I went outside this morning, upon seeing our former snowman the phrase and it’s meaning just clicked.
So, here is The Remains of the Day.
