I’m sure there’s any number of reasons, psychologically speaking, for breaking from the norm:
– mid-life *sis
– personal bets
– learning opportunities
– mimicry
– comfort
– discomfort
– celebration
Whatever the cause (I can’t claim to know or even be objective enough to dive in and find out) this is the result.

I guess I could always just say
The Mermaids did it.

I coulda told you this would happen!! [I remember … I was there last Saturday! But don’t worry, I won’t tell.]
But, what the heck. It is a good experience; one you will not regret. In any case, now you know what that head of yours looks like.

Ok, here’s the ultimate challenge. Lose the goatee too. Take it all off….. You can keep the eyebrows!

Haha!!! You all fell for it!!! He TOLD the mermaids they could do it!!! He told them to have at it with the scissors and clippers with the expected end result being him shaving his head!!! Blaming it on poor innocent mermaids!!! I happen to know they can cut his hair successfully (see previous haircutting post) albeit slightly unevenly!

And here Grumpy thought that it was the Blief that he would just get another barely “sociable” haircut.
So the Mommy says that this was all a nefarious scheme to go bare-headed?? [Tell him he’s too blond to do a stand-in for Montel Williams.]
