Creature

In some ways I’m a creature of habit;

Take this blog for instance. I don’t change much here and when I do I tend to obsess over it more than I probably ought to. That header image isn’t terribly new now is it?

A short while ago I was introduced to Instagram by LaGrande (and her friends).
[tangent] Probably won’t be the last bit of technology, if you can call it that, which I pick up from a Mermaid. [/tangent]

After the all-important discussion about what Instagram is all about…
…or any other social-networking and sharing and time-sucking and often fun distraction for that matter come to think of it…

…so after all that – I let LaGrande join and start “liking” pictures with her friends and I joined too so I could, you know, keep an eye on the matter as necessary and if possible.

Within hours of finishing the sign-up LaGrande was bugging me to go in and ‘like’ her Instagrams, her photos.
I told her that I probably wouldn’t be looking that often because…

I’m not too into this whole ‘social thing’.
(very quizzical look)
okay, okay, let me check.
See! Right there! You hit [like]!
Okay, but I’m only gonna [like] on the ones that I actually ‘like’ ya know.
Daaaa’ad!!
Okay, okay. . . . . .[like]

[tangent] You know, it didn’t escape my notice that she didn’t say ‘click’ – not sure if it meant anything but her world hasn’t really known the whole ‘mouse’ thing that much…interesting. [/tangent]

So, I began begrudgingly off into this whole Instagram social picture sharing thing.
And then she got a few friends and I looked (yes…and [like]’ed) a couple more times and then I, ya know, tried one of my own.

[grumble] make me…[like] your goofy little…rodent picture…I’ll make yoooo…[like] my…well-framed BIKE picture [grumble] see if she’s paying atten-tion.[grumble] How do you LIKE that!

Bamn! [like] – She was so like, on top of it?!

And well, that was kinda fun I guess.
So I took another one and I filtered it.

Heyyyy, that was kinda cool?! [grumble grumble]

Annnnnd fast forward a coupla days and now we’re here, on my blog, together, talking about how I’m going to be automatically adding pictures from my Instagram account to my blog.

We’ll see how it goes. If I start like, you know, #hash-tagging #everything and taking like #pictures of #like #thebathroomfloor and filtering it with a combo #Low-fi and #Earlybird – Yeah, if that gets #annoying, let me know – I may listen.
I’ll certainly click [like].
